Lino is a genius mechanic. Ram cars are his area of expertise ! A passion that attracts the attention of the police… Especially Charas, the police captain of a small cops squad. Charas gives Lino no choice: if he wants to avoid prison, he’ll have to work for him, designing police cars capable of intercepting dangerous go-fasts.
18 months later, thanks to the skills of the mechanic, Charas’s team has become fearsome on the roads of the south of France. Lino’s life has found a new meaning. But, unfortunately, it’s not going to last… One night, while he’s helping his boss to track down some drug dealers, they both fall into a trap. Charas is murdered! Lino barely escapes with his life, but finds himself wrongly accused of the murder.
Alone against everyone, he escapes from the police station where he is being interrogated, and becomes the prey of his new companions. His only hope: going back to the crime scene to retrieve the evidence that can clear his name. The problem is: the crime scene is a car in the hands of those who framed him…

PRESS REVIEW

“While the beginning of the film is fairly predictable, following the classic action movie formula with a ‘bad guy’ destined to turn ‘good,’ it quickly takes an unexpected turn. And most importantly, it never lets go of the viewer, offering no moment of respite like being caught in a relentless high-speed chase. But how, exactly, do you make a film about go-fast runs and cops without falling into clichés and rehashing what’s already been seen countless times?”
“Lost Bullet: Ultra-spectacular, this French action film on Netflix is a total success.”
GQ – 19 juin 2020 – Jérémy Patrelle

“Always striving for authenticity, the stunts were, for the most part, performed without the help of special effects, without stunt doubles, and in a single take. A bold choice that pays off, delivering action scenes with real impact and stunning realism. This explosion of action is elevated by a four-star cast. Without overacting, the actors take on roles that are, for many, a first in their careers. Guillaume Pierret’s feature film on Netflix is ambitious and finally brings renewed hope to French action cinema.”
“Lost Bullet, Jojo Rabbit, In the Heart of the World… This week’s must-see films online”
Le Figaro – 20 juin 2020 – Matt Finance

“On one hand, the actors are fully committed with Duvauchelle delivering a flawless performance as a corrupt cop, and Lenoir insisting on doing most of his own stunts. Then there are clever ideas that don’t require a huge budget but demand solid preparation like the original heist that opens the film or a memorable brawl set inside a police station that’s sure to leave a mark.”
“Lost Bullet on Netflix: Proof that French action films can deliver.”
Le Parisien – 19 juin 2020 – Michel Valentin

“This tight French Netflix thriller reminds us how deeply satisfying action can be when you strip it of Hollywood flab.”
“Lost Bullet”
The New York Times – 24 juin 2020 – Elisabeth Vincentelli
